Our Mission:
UUFE is a welcoming community encouraging religious freedom, nurturing individual spiritual and ethical growth, celebrating diversity, and promoting a just and sustainable world.
Unitarian Universalists (UUs) have begun to congregate in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to enjoy the 3rd annual UU University and the 47th annual General Assembly (GA). This year's General Assembly will explore the theme "Common Threads." Through our coverage, we hope you will soak up (and share) the programs and activities being presented. General Assembly—live or online—is a wonderful place to absorb the es-sence and diversity of our faith. Enjoy!
All you need is Windows Media Player, an Internet connection, and speakers! Our GA web staff will bring more than twenty hours of video to you, starting with the Opening Worship (8 - 9:30 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, June 25), which will include the Banner Parade and the Sources Cantata! Please note: the "live video" links will only work during the specific dates and times listed on our live broadcast schedule which is available at the UUA website, www.uua.org. Also available on the website is a daily journal of events. Webmaster note: follow the link for recorded video from GA.
The Humane Society of Elkhart County’s first attempt of the summer to hold a dog wash was nearly rained out, but the few dogs that showed up left feeling clean and smelling good! Volunteers will try again Monday, July 14th at Trinity United Methodist Church (2715 E. Jackson Blvd, Elk) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. It will be fun, your dog will be clean, and it is for a good cause (minimum donation is $5.00 per dog).
